Removing USB external drive using udisks2

Since Nautilus in Gnome 3.4 uses udisks2 I have a problem with removing my external USB disks. In udisks there were options like eject or detach, but they are not present in udisks2 anymore. I've read udisksctl manual and find there only standard mount and unmount options. This is an old HDD so it'd be safer to park drive's heads and stop platters, before plug it out. I know this is not an issue with modern flash memory, but I think that many people still use HDD as external storage.

I don't get it why developers of udisks2 got rid of eject and detach options... Maybe there is a new and better way to do this?
