I have a p9x79 deluxe M/B with an i7 3820.
When i suspend either as root or from gnome 3, and then wake up i just get a blank screen...
I have no SWAP partition (I already have 4 partitions on my disk)
I turned of Intel speedstep and tried some solutions from https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pm-utils, but nothing worked...
any ideas?
Thank you!! ![]()

Did you look into /var/log/pm-suspend.log and /var/log/messages.log if there are any hints on why it doesn't come back?
Some laptops are a bit picky about kernel parameters. Mine (old ThinkPad T41), for example, doesn't like if I put radeon.agpmode=4 as kernel parameter, to increase GPU speed, despite the card would support it.

As you do refer to having tried "some of the solutions" proposed in the wiki, is the removal of the autodetect hook among these?
If not, I would definitely recommend you to try it out as it fixed the resume problem with blank screen in my case (T23).
