Hi!
Im trying to share files between multiple users, kind of like having your own space where you can login with your username and password and you can download files that i provide for you... or you can upload files there for me... kind of like a megaupload server, only for internal use......
Any idea of some kind of server software for this kind of task?
Thanks

Dropbox comes to mind. Dont' know how much space you need.
If you're looking for something more complete, have a look at glasscubes.
If you want to collaborate on text or code in real time, try sync.in
or search the web for "cloud storage" and/or "file collaboration".

Set up a http(web) server - there are a lot to choose from, so do some research. The wiki has info about apache, lighttpd, and nginx to get you started.
JackH79 - he did say "for internal use".

Why, you can't use dropbox for internal use? You can limit access to your folders.
He didn't specify that it was for corporate purposes or private use.
Edit: Unless I misunderstood and didn't get what OP actually wants. In that case: my bad ;-)

Depends what he means by "internal use". If it means sharing stuff between users on the local lan; then tomk's approach is probably the most sensible way to go.

How about Owncloud or SparkleShare?
I've got Owncloud set up and it's rather nice.

There is also Tonido . And not really like Dropbox, but to share stuff between friends you could use darknet software like oneswarm. Both are in the aur.

May be stupid idea but how about either Webdav or tftp (which AFAIK is usable in a browser as well) ?

FileZilla.
I have made a personal commitment not to reply in topics that start with a lowercase letter. Proper grammar and punctuation is a sign of respect, and if you do not show any, you will NOT receive any help (at least not from me).

Ever heard of FTP ?

Beside joking about FTP this solution might not be suitable for the OP. If you need to exchange files back and forth with a lot of technically less skilled folks using Windows clients, then FTP would not be my premium choice but may be simply Samba
