CUPS/HPLIP/GIMP not printing photos
Hi all,
Just upgraded from cups 1.5.3-2 to cups 1.5.3-3 plus cups-filters 1.0.18-2 and when trying to print photos with the GIMP + Gutenprint, I get text:

%1234
% This file was generated by pdftopdf
%%PDFTOPDFNumCopies : 1
%%PDFTOPDFCollate : false
(etc)I had to remove cups-filters and cups, then downgrade to cups 1.5.3-2. At which point I could print photos again. Any ideas? I'm also using HPLIP 3.12.4-1.

Same thing here , after cups update . Tried to print a receipt and out came a never ending pdf . Nice to see that a bug has been posted . I am using HPLIP as well .

Same problem, same workaround (downgrade cups and libcups and get rid of cups-filters).

The new version of hplip in the bug report does not help with my hp c4180, but perhaps I am missing something. Before I ask to reopen the bug, does anyone confirm this?

Sorry for the noise, removing and readding the printer through hp-setup and cups web interface did the trick.

I have an HP OfficeJet 5510 with the same problem on 32-bit archlinux. I followed patroclo7's advice and deleted the printer in cups and then added the printer back and the problem is solved.
