Hello everyone,
since the last update of GIMP, every it finishes loading gnome-shell freezes. The strange thing is that if I run it from a terminal or using the 'run' (alt+f2) dialog it works normally but if I start it from the applications screen or from the "Open with..." in nautilus, shell freezes. I get no errors in either cases.
How should I proceed in troubleshooting this?
Some version info:
gimp 2.8.0-2
gnome-shell 3.4.1-3
nvidia 295.53-1
Edit: I checked gimp.desktop and it tried to run 'gimp-2.8 %U', replacing that command with 'gimp %U' fixes the problem but why would gimp-2.8 not work?

Same problem for me... opening up a bug report:

@sakisds: This only happens for me when this extension is enabled:
https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/39/put-windows/
Can you confirm this?

Sadly, no. I switched to KDE after trying to fix a completely broken shell for 5 days with no luck.
I can say that I used that extension though, maybe it freaked out with gimp's multiple windows.

The bug is fixed for me when I use the newest version of the put windows extension.
