I installed splashy and splashy-themes according to instruction in the wiki. I have nvidia card with nouveau driver installed.
$ pacman -Q | grep nouveau
libdrm-nouveau 2.4.34-1
nouveau-dri 8.0.3-1
xf86-video-nouveau 0.0.16_git20120512-1
'lspci -v' command shows: Kernel driver in use: nouveau
However, at startup I get the error:
"Pointer to BIT loadval table invalid"
and there is no splash screen. Text output is there as usual.
I tried seaching the wiki, forums and google and though there are some posts but no clear answer.
Splashy-full is listed as outdated and splashy appears to be the new version. I tried splashy-full also but directfb is not found on command 'mkinitcpio -p' even though directfb is installed.
Where is the problem and how can I correct this? Thanks for your help.
