Does proprietary nvidia + ahci for Macbook Pro 7,1 (MCP89) work yet?

I have a  2010 Macbook Pro 7,1 with a Nvidia MCP89 graphics chipset. It is running in bios compatibility mode and the Nvidia driver works but not ahci. About half a year ago I tried efi to see if I could get both ahci and the proprietary Nvidia driver working (link), but in efi mode neither seemed to work. The various wikis on this issue are a bit contradictory and vague so here my question to the forum: Has anyone managed to get both things working with this chipset?
