[SOLVED] Using shortcut to enable/disable network.

Hello ArchLinux users,

I am configuring the acpid and I want it to disable/enable internet connection after pressing the keyboard shortcut by using netcfg and rfkill, but it seems that this shortcut(Fn+F2 in my case) is already works. It uses rfkill to enable/disable my wireless card, but I want it also to use netcfg.

How to find out which script is being run after pressing the shortcut? Thank you in advance

Here is the output of acpi_listen when pressing the shortcut:

Is this a laptop/netbook?

Many laptops have the "hotkey" managed at a lower level (eg firmware/bios) so there may not be any visible script that is currently run by it.  (See my recent follies here).

Provided your laptop/netbook maker wasn't as incompetent as Lenovo, you should be able to map that keypress to whatever you want it to do with netcfg using any method you prefer.  The rfkill work will still be handled at the firmware/bios level.

Okay, thank you for reply. I have Asus K52F and I guess you are right about hardcoded shortcut.
