Hello!
My computer crashed suddenly a couple of days ago. When I tried to reboot it would not start. The reason for this was my, less than a month old, hard drive.
In order to get access to the disk, I had to remove it from the computer and put it in an external hard drive cabinet.
It is a 3TB drive, with one ext4 partition. This partition is gone. It is now connected through USB to my computer, and the disk shows up unpartitioned under /dev/sdx.
Where do I begin in order to try to save the stuff I had on it. I have searched a bit on the Internet. But there is a lot of information, so I just not quite sure where to begin.

There are several data recovery tools that you can let loose on the disk. Have a look at this wiki article for some more info.
