[SOLVED]wifi is ''hardware disabled" any ideas?

I'm using 64 bit arch linux with gnome 3.4.
and I have gnome network manager.  Wifi was working well till few days ago when I disabled it for some days. Now I can't start wifi. When I click on networkmanager icon. It shows wireless - hardware disabled and can't be switched on.

Provided this is a laptop, look an your keyboard and see if there's a button that turns off the wifi. It's really easy to miss.

"The box said requires Vista or better, so I installed Arch"
Windows != Linux

The button F2 has the symbol of wifi (tower transmitting waves) nothing happens when I press it.
