kernel parameters on syslinux to graphic card

Hello pals.

how does "nomodeset" affects the grafic card? I ask it cause after reading this post https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1117854 I could make ati driver works, but if I don't put nomodeset on syslinux I get a white screen when X starts.

and with it, I don't know why, crossfireX don't works

No idea about the issue you're facing, but "nomodeset" simply disables KMS.
