Run when network is up at boot

Hi there,

I'm just configuring a DNS update service, with a script that simply needs to be run as soon as I'm connected to a working Internet connection.

I don't like the https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ddns suggestions to run every 5 minutes from cron. That's a bit overkill for me.

Ideally there was some Debian style if-up.d/ to run scripts once network is up. However I can't see how https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Netcfg runs these sort of hooks, if it does.

Any tips?

I suspect netcfg has such scripts.  Wicd does - though I never used them.
