OK, not sure whether to post this here, at opensound.com, or over as a kernel bug or somewhere else.
I have hd-audio on my motherboard (unused) and a creative X-Fi Audio sound card, using oss4. I have audio with the creative working just fine, and don't use the on-board audio at all. I have oss-hdaudio blacklisted in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-oss, but it still shows up in ossmix as a device. If I disable the on board audio in BIOS, the kernel crashes when I try to restart/shutdown. The last unloaded module is osscore.
I thought maybe it was a kernel 3.4 bug, but I've had cause to be using a 3.2 kernel, which does the same.
If I keep on board enabled but unused everything is fine.
Any idea?
