I have a dvd-ram and have been thinking of getting a dvd-ram disc to use with it. Is there anything I should consider when using a dvd-ram disc? How do I format it as UDF? is that even the prefered filesystem? Thanks in advance.

I think what is needed is a package called udftools. After that package is installed the command mkudffs seems to be the appropriate command. I can't try any of this yet, since I don't have my computer around. The confusing bit here, though, has been that udftools is not be found in either the official arch repos or the aur. I'll post a PKGBUILD for it when I'm back to my computer (in a few days).
