I already searched a lot but I didn't find much information about this problem... except this: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1116860 but it didn't help...
My problem is that the TrackPoint is not detected at all... There is no TrackPoint device in the xinput list, I can't see anything looking like it in dmesg...
Is it possible that I have got some new, unsupported TrackPoint? What can I do to try to enable it?
Thanks in advance!

Up!
loading psmouse module with proto=bare option more or less solves this problem. However, I can't find out how to disable touchpad at all, because after loading psmouse with proto=bare option only one input device called "PS/2 Generic Mouse" is visible, so disabling it, disables Trackpoint also, which is the only input device I use.

What does xinput list show? Do you have more than one device listed?
It is true that some kernels do not support the TrackPoint. I had that happen several years ago trying to use a laptop kernel.
AFAIK, ThinkPads have always used Synaptic drivers. It is possible this has changed with the latest ThinkPads, but I have not heard anything to that effect.
What kernel drivers do you show listed in /usr/lib/modules/3.6.x..ARCH/kernel/drivers/input/mouse/ ?
I have: appletouch, bcm5974, psmouse, synaptics_i2c, synaptics_usb, and vsxxxaa.

xinput list:
⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)]
⎜ ↳ PS/2 Generic Mouse id=11 [slave pointer (2)In .../kernel/drivers/input/mouse there are these modules:
appletouch.ko.gz psmouse.ko.gz synaptics_usb.ko.gz
bcm5974.ko.gz synaptics_i2c.ko.gz vsxxxaa.ko.gz
It's a known bug.
