[solved] Can't login on tty "Login incorrect"

Hi guys!
I can't login on tty. Not as root, neither as user. As soon as I enter the user name and press enter, I get the message "Login incorrect". The system does not even ask for a password.
I already searched for some solutions, but didn't found one. Any ideas?

Re: [solved] Can't login on tty "Login incorrect"

Really! Of corse I checkt several posts before I wrote my own thread here. But none of the suggestions worked for me. However, after some more research I found the reason for the login problem.
As described in the wiki I modified the /etc/pam.d/login file to enable my thinkfinger module. Unfortunately this causes the login proble described above. As soon as I find a solution for this, I'll post it here.
Thank you for you support anyway.

Don't just blindly mark it as solved... You should say a few words about what you actually did to solve it, so that other people (including yourself sometimes) may find useful.

I have made a personal commitment not to reply in topics that start with a lowercase letter. Proper grammar and punctuation is a sign of respect, and if you do not show any, you will NOT receive any help (at least not from me).

Oh, you're right!
The preliminary solution is to delete the changes in the /etc/pam.d/login file, which are described in the Wiki and to use the original file content.
Unfortunately this will deactivate the thinkfinger module.
