edit: Oh man, you gotta hate when that happens. Of course I had the idea to search for bugs *after* I wrote this post. FWIW the bug is #30730. My apologies.
Hi all,
I tried to upgrade my system and amongst the targets are the following two packages:
Name Old Version New Version Net Change Download Size
virtuoso 6.1.5.20120630-1 6.1.5.20120717-1 153.04 MiB 89.63 MiB
virtuoso-base 6.1.5.20120717-1 33.34 MiB 6.07 MiB
Now, I'm not even sure why I need these packages (which of course is a different question altogether) but the file conflict check says the following:
error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
/usr/bin/isqlw-vt exists in both 'virtuoso-base' and 'virtuoso'
virtuoso: /usr/bin/isql exists in filesystem
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.
Sure enough, if I search for the packages, I find that virtuoso depends on virtuoso-base and the file in question (/usr/bin/isqlw-vt) appears in the file lists for both packages.
Is this a bug? Or is there some action required by me to perform the update successfully?
Thanks
mK
