Hi folks.
I've added a PCE-N53 PCI-E wireless card to my machine. It seems to be based on an Ralink 5592:

I compiled an installed the driver supplied by Asus, and I can connect to my router (using NetworkManager, but other tools make no difference), but the whole system freezes up after loading 99% of pages, and I have to use the reset button to recover. I've tried the same driver with a Linux Mint Live CD, and haven't had any such problems. How should I troubleshoot this with my Arch installation?
I'm running the latest kernel as of a few days ago:

I'm having the same problem with the same card. Please reply to this thread if you have already found or do find a solution, I currently can't use Arch because of this problem.

Could you please provide us with the package name of this driver? I haven't been able to find anything that looks like rt5592 which is the name of the vendor-provided driver.
@Kagami: I still haven't fixed this although I haven't had time to really look more into it yet.. I've just been using a wired connection for now. I'm glad (and sympathetic) to hear another Arch user has the same issue, maybe we can figure it out together.

Do you know what version of Linux was used on the LiveCD of Mint you tried? I just installed Ubuntu 12.10 Alpha 3 (using Linux 3.5 I think) and the drivers cause the same problem, so I think it is in fact a problem with drivers on newer kernels and not Arch itself.

That could be, I just booted with the same LiveCD and it's only 3.2:

It's working fine, though.
I wonder if it's still possible to put together an Arch install using that generation kernel...
