Hi everybody
I was having trouble using pacman to update glibc when the ownership of /lib cannot be determined & udev & hal are installed. The pacman issue has been resolved by removing hal. However, at boot time, I now have numerous udev & hal related errors. How do I get the system to save "boot time error messages"?
Thanks in advance

You can look in /var/log/boot or you can disable clearing of boot messages.

It will be a few days before I can report whether or not this works for me. I've no experience with agetty or mingetty.
In the interim, please accept my sincere thanks for your response!
