Info command

Arch does not have the "info" command? Is there any way to get it?

Re: Info command

Arch doesn't "do" info. It gives you man pages and that's it. Part of the Arch Way describes that the net should be the first place to search for documentation. Therefore, most docs are stripped from Arch packages as they are felt to duplicate the man pages or are simply copies of the docs on the net, and thus taking up hard disk space.

See this recent thread for ongoing discussion.

Re: Info command

in addition there is a networked "info" browser somewhere, but I can't recall where or what it's called.

Re: Info command

Thanks a lot. After reading the above thread I agree with the reasons of not having info.
