arch linux boot failure

I am new to arch linux, and linux, I am trying to install arch linux into my virtual box which is hosted on window 7. I followed the steps of installation guide, but when I finished, and tried to boot the new system, it blocked by this failure:

:: Checking filesystems
[BUSY] fsck.ext4: No such file or directory while trying to open /dev/sda6 Possibly non-existent device?

this device /dev/sda6 does not exist, why the filesystem will check it? I remember when I fist time to fdisk, I made a mistake: create two logic partition, and the second one is /dev/sda6, and later I delete it, is that mistake cause this problem?

anyone can help me?

Did you remove /dev/sda6 from your fstab?

yes, I delete these partitions.
and i use fdisk -l, there is no such device

That is not what he asked. Do you still have the /dev/sda6 entry in the /etc/fstab file? If so, you will need to delete it.

Ok, but do you have an sda6 in your disk image under VirtualBox, because it sounds like you aren't using RAW access to your disk. The vmdk file that stores your installation may actually have a sda6.

I checked the /etc/fstab, and there is /dev/sda6, I changed to the right one: /dev/sda2. But I still cannot boot it, it says:
fsck.ext4 Bad magic number in super block while tring to open /dev/sda2
/dev/sda2:
The super block could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2 filesystem.

but my /dev/sda2 is ext4 filesystem, why it says ext2?

Anything that is ext2 and beyond is called an ext2 series filesystem.
What this error is stating is that it has ahold of a swap partition or something like that.
Or the module for ext4 isn't in the initramfs.
