SOLVED ENOUGH TO LIVE WITH:only white noise on Toshiba netbook NB550D

I installed with the newest install disk.Everything went well,I just can't get alsa working?I've been strolling on the forum but I didn't find a solution.
When doing aplay -l I get:

****List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: Generic [HD-Audio Generic] , device 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0]
    Subdevices: 1/1
    Subdevice #0:  subdevice #0
card1: SB [HDA ATI SB] , device 0:  ALC269VB Analog [ACL269VB Analog]
    Subdevices: 1/1
    Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

I also tried playing with modprobe as per alsa-wiki with no result.

Can someone tell me how to proceed/what modules to use?

Got it working, by creating an asound.conf file as per wiki to change the order of the cards.I still have the white noise but also normal sound.
