installing properly mathjax

Hi,

I'm looking forward to install mathjax on archlinux. Anyone already did that using pacman?

The installation suggested by ipython team in its tutorial on youtube is not clean ( here at time 1:21:22) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2G5YTlheCbw

It uses the following python code to do that installation

from IPython.external.mathjax import install_mathjax
install_mathjax()

It gives luckily the following error (write access error) so that the python installation would not be altered

IOError: Need have write access to /usr/lib/python3.2/site-packages/IPython/frontend/html/notebook/static

Re: installing properly mathjax

The post is pretty old, but I ran into the same problem. I don't have a clean solution, but it seems to be better than polluting the ipython dir with the whole MathJax stuff.
I installed "mathjax" from AUR and put a link in the ipython dir. For my ipython2 installation it looks like this:

ln -s /usr/share/mathjax/ /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/IPython/frontend/html/notebook/static/mathjax
