[Wine] Steam Issues.

Followed the guide on the wine and steam wiki page can at first i had the no text bug and followed this thread https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 7#p1141557.

I'll try my best to describe my issue. when ever i start steam it loads, then if i move my mouse around inside the steam window it moves by itself downward then it becomes unusable. meaning i cant click the buttons, move the window with my Window manager, only way to close it kill it.

any solutions?

Re: [Wine] Steam Issues.

Configure wine to use a virtual desktop - that will contain the window and keep this from occurring.

Re: [Wine] Steam Issues.

What windows version is wine set to in winecfg? If it's set to Win7, it draws the native linux WM border. I had that problem of the window running away from me occasionally when I used the steam window "title/border" to move windows instead of the linux window manager border. Perhaps you might have similar results?

If that doesn't help, you might try a different WM and see if that makes a difference.
