have a look at this. When using urxvt with true transparency many things are not readable (as seen in my ncmpcpp window)
nano also has this issue for example. Without true transparency all looks just fine.
Is there an option i forgot to set? Or is this a bug?

By "true transparency" I assume you are using something like transset-df rather than urxvt's own rgba settings, right?
Pseudotransparency copies the wallpaper to the urxvt window background.
Transset-df style transparency makes the entire urxvt window partially transparent - so this includes the text.
Urxvt's own transparency makes only the window background transparent while keeping the text fully visable.
I'd suggest only using the first or third of these three options.
