'Useradd' error

I think this goes here if not Mods please move it.
So the problem I'm having is this: I reinstalled Arch and I messed up when I was entering my password when creating a new user.  I have tried both ways to add a new user but every time I do it now I get these errors:
useradd: group '100' does not exist
useradd: the GROUP= configuration in /etc/default/useradd will be ignored
useradd: group 'users' does not exist

I have no idea what to do. I have looked at forums, checked all the user list and who is using them, etc. and no one else is there except root.
Any ideas?

Thanks!
Nanashi

Re: 'Useradd' error

Exactly what command are you entering to add the user?

It should be something like this (at a root prompt)

# useradd -m -g users -G audio,games,log,lp,optical,power,scanner,storage,video,wheel -s /bin/bash [username]

And did you see this in the guide:

In the event of error, or if you wish to delete this user account in favor of a different name or for any other reason, use userdel:

# userdel -r [username]

Maybe you need to delete the user you tried to add and start over.

Re: 'Useradd' error

Yes I'm doing that and the adduser command.
Edit:
I've tried that as well. And no users are being deleted as they don't exist.

Re: 'Useradd' error

And this is after you've installed and rebooted?

Re: 'Useradd' error

Yup. I have also rebooted multiple times and made a new users directory.

I'm sorry, but I don't know what this means. If you mean a new /home directory for the new user, useradd does that when you add a new user.

Only if you provide the correct argument:

-m, --create-home create the user's home directory

or if you have /etc/login.defs configured accordingly:
If you add

CREATE_HOME yes

you can leave the "-m"argument out...

I think you might be missing the users the way it sounds, add it using

groupadd users
