Thunderbird X Windows icon

Hello,

maybe it's just a triviality not worth posting, but it would be really nice if the mozilla-thunderbird-1.0.6 package had a lib/chrome/icons/default/default.xpm icon as is present in the second revision of mozilla-firefox-1.0.6, so Thunderbird won't start up with the default WM icon.

There was no maintaner stated under this package so I'm posting it here. I apologize if this trivial posting breaks any forum rules or should be posted in some existing topic, but didn't come across anything suitable...

Sorry for my fiddle-faddle. :-)

Best,

Re: Thunderbird X Windows icon

Perhaps this should go in the bug tracker.

Re: Thunderbird X Windows icon

Considering the Mozilla trademark issues, I wasn't exactly sure whether it's a bug or a feature, but since the original Thunderbird icon is already bundled in a package, will file it there.

Sorry for pointless flood then.

Re: Thunderbird X Windows icon

Hi all,
I don't know if someone cared about this issue.
i still have this issue. browsing the web i found this link http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php? … rbird+icon from ubuntuforum where they fixed...but it doesnt work. paths are somhow different...but i don't know where is my problem.

This is the fix to do in that forum:

sudo cp /usr/share/pixmaps/mozilla-thunderbird.xpm /usr/lib/mozilla-thunderbird/chrome/icons/default/default.xpm

this is what I have:

./usr/lib/thunderbird-2.0/chrome/icons/default/default.xpm
./usr/lib/thunderbird-2.0/icons/default.xpm

Is it the same thing?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry to open again this old post
