I've been having a great experience with Arch, and it fits my mindset and is just overall awesome. However, ever since I did an update via pacman -Syu, I've been having screen flickering issues. I did have them before, but I just downgraded the package and I was fine. However, since the kernel was updated, I can no longer downgrade to a lower NVIDIA (proprietary) driver, since it requires a lower kernel version. Should I just downgrade the kernel and the drivers with it, or is there a fix?
The flickering happens every time an app uses OpenGL, some examples being when Compiz starts, Cairo Dock, Minecraft, Wine games, etc. Every time they start, the screen flickers completely black for about half a second to a second. I also got a second screen of a different brand, and I noticed that it had the same flickering, but instead of going completely black, it just flickers normally with a few jumbled lines.
