Good ARM-based/Linux OS that I can run in an ARM VM

Does one exist? I'd like to learn arm assembly programming, but also in an ARM based environment which I can run virtually on my arch/windows machine. Is it possible to do this in VirtualBox or something similar? Doing this in Linux x86_64 would be ideal, but I'm willing to use Windows as well either way.

qemu will support multiple virtualization under multiple processors, as far as an ARM architecture, debian is probably one of them, but you may have to search around the internet, technically linux supports all architectures, but the distributions target certain architecture(s).
ArchLinux does have an arm at archlinuxarm.org

Archlinuxarm or Debian armel/armhf (depending on if your device supports hardware floating point calculations)
