As for the bar, I'm trying out some new configs for Dzen2, but no luck. But, this goes well too! I like it!

That is as puerile as it is senseless; this is a screenshot thread. If you want to rant, get a blog.

What the micro-font is it(for the ascii art)?
What program do you use for image preview?

The tray icons are custom-made, using Inkscape and sharpened with Gimp. And as a bonus, here's my bootloader screen.
Enjoy.

I have made a personal commitment not to reply in topics that start with a lowercase letter. Proper grammar and punctuation is a sign of respect, and if you do not show any, you will NOT receive any help (at least not from me).

Then and now:
Big improvement, don’t you think?
Browser is luakit, panel is xfce4-panel, conky on top using configs I've had for nearly a year. compton-git handles compositing and damn is it fast.

Gringo wrote:My really clean and simple desktop set-up. Most important things I do after a fresh install:
* DejaVu fonts: I l-o-v-e the DejaVu font family. I use it for everything: windows, terminal font, coding font, etc.
* freetype2-infinality: I can't live without. Without infinality it's impossible to get a pretty desktop without font anti-aliasing.
* cairo-dock: with big icons the buttons are easier to hit than task bars, IMO. I use auto-hide on the dock and SVG icons.https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2316031/gringo_screenshot-thumb.png
Interesting. Which settings do you use on Infinality?
I never used it on Arch before, but I remember using on Fedora, where it has many predefinied settings.
The default settings, actually... Anti-aliasing and full RGB hinting is on in the XFCE settings (under Appearance) as well.

They're not icons, they're fonts, just like wingdings / dingbats, or whatever they're called. Draw them in Inkscape and convert the .svg to a font, as glyphs. Or maybe using fontforge or something like that. Google it.
And why would he post on the Arch Linux forums if he's using Gentoo?
