Hi,
I got an older HP Pavilion dv 9520eg Laptop from my dad after my eeepc died.
It has a Nvidia graphics card GeForce 7150M (nForce 630M). I have the most recent nvidia 304.43-1 driver installed and in use.
Watching DVD,mkv, avis and so on is absolutly no problem, it doesn't look to bother the cpu at all. But watching flash-streams makes the laptop go crazy, the temperature is going beyond 100°C and after a while the kernel is shutting down because of the heat.
I already created the /etc/adobe/mms.cfg and inserted EnableLinuxHWVideoDecode=1 but the problem didn't disappear. It's browser independent and happens on firefox as well as chromium.. I'm also using the most recent versions of them as well as of the flash-package.
Do you have any idea how to fix this? Is flash not able to use the nvidia-card also, when hardware decoding is enabled? This makes watching flash-streams impossible on my laptop..
greetings
