MacBook Pro 8 1 not recgonizing root partition.

I recently installed the latest ISO on my MacBook, went through the whole ordeal. GRUB2 was installed along with rEFIt and then auto-configured. When I get to booting, the console spits out "[      2,44169] i8042; No controller found." then hangs for a bit, and then spits out ERROR: device 'UUID=(some hexadecimal that represents either my root partition, my OS X parition or the drive itself.)' not found. Skipping fsck. (NEWLINE) ERROR: Unable to find root device 'UUID=(same code as above)' You are being dropped into a recovery shell."
And then the only thing I can do in the recovery shell is view the filesystem.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi pjasinski, here there is a thread that may interest you. https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=152486
I've got a similar problem (like I say in the linked thread) but still I have no solution to that... If you find out a way to solve the matter, please let me know!
