Anyone here have any idea why Graveman is suddenly no longer able to find any media when it's my DVD and CD-RW drives?
It worked fine through several different releases for quite some time, but now all I get when I try to do burn anything is this message:
Please insert an empty or appendable CDR/RW in drive PLEXTOR CD-R PREMIUM Removable CD-ROM to continue...
Currently: no media
I'm running Graveman version 0.3.12-4 from the Arch "extra" repo.
Didn't find any bugs filed on this particular problem.
Have tried removing the config file and letting it rebuild, but no help.
Both, the DVD and CD-RW drives are detected properly at first start by Graveman.
Have removed and reinstalled Graveman and all dependencies, but no help.
I installed Gnomebaker (for testing only) and it works fine with the same media - no errors.
Tried a couple different media types (Taiyo Yuden), but no help.
Command line burns do work without any problems.
Went with udev a month or so back, but don't see any problems there.
Will post graveman config file if anyone wants to see it, but it appears to be okay.
Fstab:
none /dev/pts devpts defaults 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
/dev/hdc /mnt/dvd iso9660 ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
/dev/hdd /mnt/cd iso9660 ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
/dev/sda1 /mnt/flash vfat user,noauto,noatime 0 0
/dev/fd0 /mnt/fl vfat user,noauto 0 0
/dev/hda7 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/hda6 / ext3 defaults 0 1
/dev/hda8 /home ext3 defaults 0 1I don't want Gnomebaker, so will revert soley to command line if I must, but I really want Graveman, again.
Thanks for any ideas on this.

Heh, my standard hint: run graveman from a terminal and look at the messages. ![]()

Thanks, FUBAR, but that was one of the first things I tried... and of course, no error messages.

Hey, Kerosene - did you upgrade or add any packages within the last few days? I'm wondering which one might be causing this?

Ok, it's been almost 2 weeks, so I guess it's time to give up on this and simply stick to the command line for CD/DVD burning.
No help was received from the Arch mailing list, and none from the Graveman mailing list. I also directly emailed the Graveman developer two different times but got no response, whatsoever.
Can't think of anything else to try, so time to move on...

Okay, finally figured this one out...
For some reason, cdrdao is requiring libao to work properly, although it is NOT shown to be a dependency. What I thought was a Graveman issue was apparently a cdrdao issue, and simply installing libao allows Graveman to find inserted media again.
Graveman works properly now. 8)
Oh, and it turns out that there is a bug report regarding the cdrdao/libao issue:

I did solved this by changing 1,0,0 to /dev/sr0
