[SOLVED] SpaceFM and i can't delete any files on external hard drive

Hey everyone,
I am using Archlinux and Awesome WM. As my file manager I use SpaceFM. My problem is that i have a external hard drive (1TB) and i can't delete any files. When ever i want to delete a file it shows this message.

Removing /media/Save/X17-59885.iso
Error: Read-only file system

So i tried to change the permissions to write and read but it will not change it.
I don't know what i am doing wrong.
If i go in my home directory i can delete what ever i want.

Micah

What filesystem are you using for that external drive? If it's ntfs, read the wiki on how to proceed.
Post the output of

mount | column -t

Re: [SOLVED] SpaceFM and i can't delete any files on external hard drive

mount | column -t

/dev/sdc1 on /media/Volume type ntfs (rw,relatime,uid=1000,gid=100,fmask=0177,dmask=077,nls=utf8,errors=continue,mft_zone_multiplier=1)

/dev/sdb1 on /media/Save type ntfs (ro,relatime,uid=1000,gid=100,fmask=0177,dmask=077,nls=utf8,errors=continue,mft_zone_multiplier=1)

it is ntfs
and i use ldm for mounting my hard drive...i thought that should work that way

Did you happen to see this wiki article?

Without ntfs-3g, you won't have the ability to mount a NTFS system in  write mode

Both /dev/sdc1 and /dev/sdb1 are ntfs, but the latter is mounted ro ... Not sure what to make of it.

Re: [SOLVED] SpaceFM and i can't delete any files on external hard drive

Have you tried using ntfs-3g?
That's the first time I've heard about ldm, but its readme https://github.com/LemonBoy/ldm says it only automounts stuff, nothing about rw support for every existing filesystem.

About the drive being mounted as read only, by default ldm uses the standard mount options which include the "ro" flag, unless a fstab rule is set. So doublecheck your fstab.
