ncftp

I use ncftp from pacman, and all is fine. However when i attempt to build the original pkgbuild i run into a make error. Not sure why.

Reason for rebuilding is i'd like to add a patch. It adds an edit command to allow remote file editing via your default editor.

Anyhow, here's the patch. i imagine people would find this useful (other than just myself). I read on the page gentoo includes it by default. I think it'd be nice feature to include with the Arch package as well.

Thanks for your time guys,

Re: ncftp

Sorry for omitting that. And oh my, just went to go makepkg again so i could paste it for ya, and all went fine. Nothing changed afaik, and i tried multiple times prior. Added the patch to the pkgbuild and that built fine also.

So all's good, other than i feel kinda dumb for making this thread now =P

Thanks for the attempt to help though snowman smile

ps. Do you think this is a decent patch to either have included with original arch pkg?. It's such a minor thing to have a seperate pkgbuild in aur for or whatever.

For me personally, i hate download, edit, upload. For every little thing.

Re: ncftp

Why not post a feature request in the bug tracker?
It looks like a convenient feature but I don't use ncftp.
