full screen games can't set screen resolution
hello ,,
when I start games like doom 3 or quake 4 the game appears in just small part of the screen and when I close it with pkill the screen resolution stays in game resolution, I mean like 800x600 and the reset of space is just black.
my video card is nvidia GeForce 9500 GT, X version is: X.Org X Server 1.12.3.901 (1.12.4 RC 1), and I use kde 4.9.0, kernel version is 3.4.9-1-ARCH

Why you pkill? It hangs or can you just quit it? If so what happens in case of normal closing the game? Did you setup games video settings to match resolution of your display? You've got LCD? Check what kind of expansion mode you've got enabled (some LCD allow to display lower resolutions at 1:1 mode at center of the screen with rest of the screen black)
