Mapping extended keys like 0xe06e ?

After a loong time debugging I've made a simple keymap for the Toshiba L750D by using the output from dmesg | tail -10.

0xe025 screenlock
0xe026 sleep
0xe027 suspend
0xe029 switchvideomode
0xe054 wlan
0xe06e brightnessup
0xe078 brightnessdown

When I try and map these to keys through a keymap file it tells me that 0xe025, for example, is an invalid scancode/keycode. How do I map extended keys to a udev rule?

I've tried removing the e0 but it causes the keys to fall in the middle of my keyboard (around j,k,l,:)
