Hello there. I’m new on the forum then I’m gonna introduce myself. I’m Dimitri, I’m French, I live in the neighborhood of Paris and I’m used to using arch for over 3 years. I had a break on Mac OSX the last year but when I realized I used arch in vbox more than OSX, I sold the Mac ;).
I come here for one purpose: contribute. I already submitted some AUR packages, but I wanna go further in my contribution.
I know C and C++11, Java, Python, and so on… I have basis in asm though I can enhance my knowledge of this language if needed. The language I master the most and my favorite is D, but it’s not scaled for system programming since the GC.
Now I’d like to have your opinion on my contribution, if you have any question or whatever don’t hesitate to ask me. In the best way I’d like to find someone who explains me what skills I lake to do what I want to and I what I have to learn to help the community the best I can do. I’d love to help to write application from [core] for instance.
Thanks for have read me!

Fix these.
Or contribute to the wiki. Or seed the latest iso torrent. Or rewrite a popular, yet slow, application in pure C and submitit to the AUR. Or Help out with user problems in and around the forum, etc.

Why in pure C? Because it will run fast than C++ or else? Is there a mailing list? Thanks for your quick answer!

Rewriting it in C was just an example, since you listed C as on of your languages, and C apps are usually faster than their shell script equivalents.
There are lots of mailing lists: https://mailman.archlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/
I don't know which would be best for you, but I'm sure you'll find your way.

Is there a mailing list?
You mean Arch-related ones?
The link is on the main page: http://www.archlinux.org/
I’d love to help to write application from [core] for instance.
Not sure what you mean here.

But ... they already have been written.
I think we may have hit a language barrier here ;P
You can patch them to fix bugs (as suggested by WorMzy), add requested features etc.
http://www.archlinux.org/pacman/HACKING.html should come in handy for starters.

Ok! It’s a nice start here, thanks! Last question: is there a github or something like this for such projects?
Thanks!

I suggest you have a closer look at the main page. It not only has the link to the mailing lists, but the links to the projects hosted in git and more.

Ok karol, I start reading them tomorrow. Finally how could I become a TU?

It is described on the wiki...

I heard TU's are drop-outs from the Arch virginity contest.
