I have Archlinux installed on a Windows 7 host through VirtualBox
VirtualBox is updated to the latest version: 4.1.22
I have installed the latest version of virtualbox-archlinux-additions-4.1.22-1
I have added
VBoxClient-all &
to my .xinitrc file
Upon starting x, I run the command
ps aux | grep -i vbox
The output shows three VBoxClient's running: --checkhostversion, --display and --seamless
The guest additions are partially working. I can resize my virtual screen, and X snaps to the appropriate resolution. The clipboard is not running.
If I try to manually start it with VBoxClient --clipboard (as both root and a normal user), I receive no error, but the clipboard daemon still isn't running.
Any help is appreciated.

Did you enable the clipboard setting to "bi-directional" (or something like that) in the settings for your VM?

This was exactly the problem. I feel silly now. Thank you.

I'm still having an issue with this, I can start VBoxclient-all but only as root. As a normal users is says it can't connect to the kernel server.

Nevermind, fixed with today's update.
