[SOLVED]Post Installation Issues - switch_root: failed to execute /sbi

Hello again everybody.
I have just completed the installation procedure as per the Beginner's Guide.
I have the following partitions

/dev/sda1 --> EFI System
/dev/sda2 --> Swap
/dev/sda3 --> /
/dev/sda4 --> /usr
/dev/sda5 --> /var
/dev/sda6 --> /tmp
/dev/sda7 --> /home

and I use GRUB2 as bootloader.
Starting the OS I receive the following message:

/dev/sda3: clean, 1087/1966080 files, 178395/7864320 blocks
switch_root: failed to execute /sbin/init: No such file or directory
[ 2.563541] Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init! exitcode=0x00000100
[    2.563541]
[    2.563571] Pid: 1, comm: switch_root Not tainted 3.5.3-1-Arch #1
[    2.563589] Call Trace:
_

Running SystemRescue on the system, I can see the /sbin/init file!
Again guys, any good soul willing to help?
Thank you for your attention; have a very nice day

EDIT:
The answer is contained in this post
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 07#p145907
i.e. it has to do with the separate /usr partition (but I don't remember having this problem with a non-uefi mobo).
I am afraid I am too eager to have my favorite OS running  big_smile
