Hi there
So I recently changed my KDM settings to allow autologin, but lock the session.
This works fine.
What is annoying is that conky starts after the session is locked, and it starts on the locked session screen.
When I unlock my session, conky does not appear on my desktop.
Is there any particular way to tell conky to start on my desktop, and not on the KDE lock screen?
If that's not possible, I'm open to other ways to lock my screen automatically on login, but I have tried running locking commands in autostart scripts and they have never worked for me.
Anyway, I hope someone knows how to do this! Thanks!
*EDIT*
Tried fixed it using the info here: http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?t=61217
I set conky to start after the screen unlocked.
While that worked for calling from the command line of an existing session, the initial locked session I start with still had conky on top of it, even when conky was removed from the autostart file - so, the edited kscreenlocker script was apparently executing the AFTER unlocking stuff before actually unlocking, because when I did unlock, conky didn't start afterward.
So, still being a pain.
