I recently had a crash that left some of the filesystems in a corrupted state; a couple of fsck's later and the computer is booting up fine, and works perfectly for the most part. I had one package that wasn't running any more, but giving a Bus Error in bash; turned out that reinstalling dbus solved the problem.
So: is there a way for me to force a global reinstall of all packages currently installed to ensure nothing else is corrupted short of reinstalling each explicitly?

yes - and this is covered in the wiki and many times on these forums...

Really? Shoot.. I've been looking and looking, but can't find what I'm looking for in either. At this point I probably would have spent less time just writing a script to do each explicitly... Can you point me in the right direction?

Take a look at the pacman tips page.

Google:
site:archlinux.org reinstall all

Thanks so much all; somehow that page just wouldn't come up no matter what I was searching under. For some reason, searching reinstall all on the Wiki page doesn't bring this page up... I'll have to remember the tip to do a site specific search next time.
