dd does not work for me (ACER Aspire 3810T). The computer freezes while trying to start from the flash drive. unetbootin can't boot wrongly.
What should I do?

I have made a personal commitment not to reply in topics that start with a lowercase letter. Proper grammar and punctuation is a sign of respect, and if you do not show any, you will NOT receive any help (at least not from me).

The second method gives me a Missing OS error so far. I will try it again.

Which second method? "Without overwriting the USB drive" ?
Note: On some distributions the mbr.bin file may be available as /usr/share/syslinux/mbr.bin.
Edit: And make sure that the USB stick is set to boot first in the BIOS ("Removable Dev.", and nr. 1 in the boot order).

It worked.
I guess there should be a warning that if the first method (with dd fails) you should try the second one. They are not equivalent as the wiki implies since the first one creates a non standard partition table.

The "first one" (using dd) works fine. Just make sure that it's not mounted, and that you don't use /dev/sdxY (like it says not to).

I tried it many times and it didn't work.
I have used the "dd" method in other computers and it was fine.
