The last set is really-really nice!

I've only got a small suggestion for the post reply button: Right now, the icon in the 'post reply' button is like two pages, as opposed to only one in the 'new topic' button. Can you try to do something similar with the arch logo and see how it goes? (think of the arch logo as a "page")

Ah - awesome! Yup, new AUR/Doc/Bugs buttons do need to be smaller and that second batch is spot on.

The extra text on the buttons needs to be:

Ban - "Read Only" (it's for people who have had their posting disabled)
Moderate - "Moderate Forum" (not for posts )

Based on stavrosg suggestion....

Could you do it so, rather than arch logo == page, so that there is a page with an arch logo on it? And two such pages in the post reply button? Just ideas

The next set will probably go straight on the test site

However, I'm not sure but you might like to do new buttons for all the others... e.g profile, pm, quote, etc

I was excited so the images are now live on the new site!

Looking at it I don't think we need to replace all the icons at all so just a few tweaks to the current ones and the extra planet link button and we're done!

Kind of OT: It has been discussed before, *I think*, but there is quite a huge white space below the (wiki-aur-bugs) icons. Would it be possible to put these icons to the right of the thread title line instead of above it?

DOH!!! Forgot something obvious...had my light source coming from the wrong direction, thus the buttons all looked inset instead of poping out. Here's the last tweak for now, I promise

Let me know if you'd prefer blue ones of these...or if you have any other requests.

I actually prefer the inset versions... what about having them inset, then they pop out on a mouseover?

I dunno if I prefer in or out or which border?! They are excellent tho - just what we wanted.

Does some one want to do a poll in a new thread? In and out, both sorts of border on each - so four choices? And post all the icons in that new thread? The people should decide!

I'll take care of the new thread/poll, and yeah, I'll tar them up. I'm on a Windows machine right now though, so I'll see if WinRAR will do that correctly or not...

I don't think that's really necessary. The differences are trivial and a poll will just make for a longer time to implementation. All of them are close enough to perfect that it doesn't matter. Now that the point's been brought up, I'm sure there can be a lot of arguing made over it. *shakes head*

So, dibble, just use your judgement, and if you can't decide, use mine: inset buttons with blue border. 8)

I'm happy with any option. Just do it. :-D

Well, here's the tarball: forum-buttons.tar.gz

I personally prefer the grey raised versions, but as Dusty said, the differences are fairly trivial. The raised version matches more closely the other buttons left on the forum (quote, pm, etc.)...I think the blue border fits in with the remaining buttons, but looks a bit out of place since the new set has a different design anyway. The grey just seems to match them better...IMHO

I disagree with you Dusty, I think there is plenty of time for a poll. The changes will not be in place for some time as they all have to be proofed...

And as far as them all being similar - yeah, they are so similar I like them equally!

I actually may even redo some of the mods as I have found "better" versions - this is why I have not rushed into the upgrades! I imagine at least two weeks before I upgrade the live forum!
