Key import fails on fresh install [SOLVED]

Hello,

I just started a fresh install with the latest installation medium. I boot into x86_64 live system and prepare the hard drive with gdisk and create a single partition.
After that I make my ext4 filesystem. Mount /dev/sda1 to /mnt. I choose the nearest mirror in /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist which is the second server in line (Germany)
and begin pacstrap /mnt base. After it is finished downloading and checking package integrity it fails on every key import.

error: linux-api-headers: key "F990EB20FAEsomhing" is unkown
:: Import PGP key EAE999BD, "Allan McRae <me@allanmcrae.com>", created on 2011-06-03? [Y/n]
error: key "Allan McRae <me@allanmcrae.com>" could not be imported
and so on

What can cause this?

EDIT: Reformated the drive and selected other mirror (first one in the US). Same result.
Last error is "error: failed to commit transaction (invalid or corrupted package (PGP signature))"

you should have at least 10 mirrors enabled in your list.
having only a few almost always causes an error.
also having a key signing error might mean your iso is corrupt.

Note: If pacman fails to verify your packages, check your system time. If the system date is invalid (e.g. it shows year 2010), signing keys will be considered expired (or invalid), signature checks on packages will fail and installation will be interrupted. Make sure to correct the system time, either by doing so manually or with the ntp client, and retry running the pacstrap command. Refer to Time page for more information on correcting system time.

Thank you! My hard drive was causing some trouble and the laptop wouldn't even start into BIOS so I disconnected the mainboard battery hoping this would help but it didn't. Only after installing my hard drive in my desktop PC and formatting it there I was able to boot my laptop with it again. Totally forgot that I reset my BIOS by disconnecting the battery. System time was 2006.

Yeah, I had this problem on a PC that hadn't been booted in a year or so trying to install Arch. Clock was 2004. Don't worry; it happens to all of us.
