Mounting .mdf/.mds CD-Image

Hi,

I'd like to mount an .mdf-Image, or the appropriate .mds-table. The way .iso-images are beeing mounted doesnt work for it, is it even possible to mount .mdf's? .mdf/-mds is the standart Alcohol120% image format. Or was it Nero?

Anyway, how to mount that .mdf-file?

Thanks a lot!

How about converting it to iso format?

Well, I like it, as it is, but ok... pacman can't find mdf2iso, how to install it? Maybe a really stupid n00b-question...  :?

It's in the AUR - click the button on the top right for further details.

Re: Mounting .mdf/.mds CD-Image

After I finally figured out how to install this mdf2iso tool, it tells me:
"file to large"

So what now?

The file has around 3.6gb...

Would you consider asking the developer? His IRC details are in the link above.

Re: Mounting .mdf/.mds CD-Image

Thanks for that advise. i did it, and he sent me the 0.3.1 beta version, and that one didn't tell me "file to large" but just something like "... is already iso9660", but still I couldn't mount the .mdf.
But in fact it was so easy, finally I just renamed the .mdf to .iso and everthing works now.

wink
