Scanner problems

Hi there,

I just needed to scan a few documents and my system let me down.
Somehow scanning no longer works. Running scanimage -L (with user or root; with avahi or not) I get:

~/ scanimage -L
Failed cupsGetDevices
device `pixma:04A91734_C03327' is a CANON Canon PIXMA MP190 multi-function peripheral

Checking the logs I got the following funny line:

Oct 23 22:06:50 localhost kernel: [  689.832604] usb 1-1.1: usbfs: interface 1 claimed by usblp while 'scanimage' sets config #1

Any ideas what might be wrong? Thanks!
