Hey,
I got a little problem with ALSA. When i listen to music and then mute "Master" there is a short, loud sound before the sound actually gets muted.
Some more details about the Problem:
It's not a simple crack or pop. It's seems to be a short volume-peak
When there is no music playing, i don't hear the peak because 0dB*2 still equals 0dB :-)
It occurs no matter how i do the muting (alsamixer, 'amixer set Master mute', xfce4-mixer, ...)
It only occurs with the external speakers, not with the internal notebook-speakers
I don't have pulseaudio installed. Just ALSA
It doesn't matter which audioplayer i use or which application generates the sound
My notebook doesn't have a HDMI-Connector. The external speakers are connected via line-out. So I use snd_hda_intel
