Hi all!
I have a Archlinux x86 up to date.
Everything is working fine.
My soundcard is:
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801JD/DO (ICH10 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 02)
On the front of the case of the pc, I have a mic input and the output for speakers/earphones. They both work great.
To use that mic port, I have to select "Front microphone" from "Input" tab in pulseaudio.
On the rear of the case, I have another output for speakers/earphones and an input for both line-in and mic. It's just a 3,5mm input, coloured blue and pink, with the little images of a mic and of the line-in.
The problem is that I am not able to use this input.
The inputs available in pulseaudio are:
Line in
Front microphone
Microphone
but they don't work. I have no input (expect for Line-in, who seems to capture only noise and seems to capture the sound I make tapping on the microphone). No matter how high the input volume is, I cannot record my voice (or use mic for skype..).
With arecord -l I get:
arecord -l

card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 0: AD198x Analog [AD198x Analog]

No luck even with alsamixer.
I tried pavucontrol (hoping to find further settings) but.. nothing.
Do you have any hint?
Any help will be very appreciate!
