After the last update i've encountered some problems!
At first i had to edit my grub menu.lst
title Arch Linux [/boot/vmlinuz-linux]
root (hd0,3)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-linux root=/dev/sda4 ro modprobe.blacklist=pata_acpi
initrd /boot/initramfs-linux.imgin order to boot with the updated kernel.
(Before that i already tried to downgrad (kernel, -headers, vbox-modules, nvidia, -utils) wich was not realy satisfying.)
Then the system worked, but Networkmanager now shows something loke "no networkinterface". will be discussed in another thread..
What i've tried:
- sudo rm /var/lib/NetworkManager/Networkmanager.state (also included the hint from the wiki, to delete it on every start up)
- added myself to the network group (already was in the wheel group)
The next thing is, that suspend to RAM dons't work anymore. It isn't displayed in the menu, neither is it triggered, when closing the lid.
What i've tried:
- reinstalling nvidia and nvidia-utils since, as far as i knwo, stanby related tho graphics-driver.
- reading a bit in the wiki, but i don't know where the problem lies. Never had a problem with stanby...
Edit:
- Just for your info this is the output of
cat /sys/power/state mem disk--> So there is no "standby"! Why?
So far, this it is.
Thanks for all your help!

Maybe this would help to fix the Suspend to Ram issue:
/var/log/pm-suspend.log
disabled, not active

echo -n "mem" > stateBut still KDE doesn't show Suspend as an option
nor does closing the lid --> s2ram work

Don't tell me, you're not booting with systemd and you don't read the news on the front page, right?
Offline
Sorry, but to what news do you refer?

The third item down on the front page.
